Although free for personal use, Faststone is far superior to other programs that cost 75 to over 100 dollars. Unlike other programs that you must pay to upgrade in order to view the latest RAW files from a new digital camera, Faststone provides current RAW file compatibility for Canon and Nikon RAW files. Overall this is one of the most useful programs to have for anyone who wants to manage and view their photos or any other graphic files with the most easy to use user interface I have ever seen. Finally, another feature is the ability to create speaker or thought bubbles that you can add to any of your images. The tool comes with a portable that you can carry around on a flash drive for easy migrating the files. Also, it supports multithreading, folder, and non-folder structure. Additionally, it offers features like conversion, preview, and file renaming. Also integrated into Faststone is a batch convert feature which is very easy to use and works very fast. The FastStone photo resizer is a helpful tool, especially for changing the size of your photos. In addition to viewing your images, you can also batch rename images, using either a user created template, or a Search and Replace method. Faststone has an excellent user interface that every other company could learn a lot from, as well as some really good basic image editing tools that keep getting better and better. Faststone Image Viewer / Manager is a superb program, free for personal use, which helps you view your photos (and now videos) with greater easy and versatility than any other program of this genre.
